Our Complete Probate Service is full end-to-end estate administration for executors in Bristol who don't have the time, the appetite, or the family agreement to handle probate themselves. Unlike high-street firms who typically charge 1.5–5% of the estate value (which on a £600,000 Bristol property estate can mean £9,000–£30,000 in fees), our service starts from a transparent £2,000 fixed quote, scoped to the specific complexity of the estate.

From our initial consultation we take care of everything: valuing all assets and liabilities, identifying and contacting beneficiaries, completing the IHT205 or full IHT400 inheritance tax return, paying any IHT due to HMRC, submitting the probate application to the Bristol District Probate Registry, encashing accounts and investments, marketing and selling the property if required, settling debts, preparing full estate accounts, and distributing the residue to beneficiaries.

We're an impartial third party, which is particularly valuable where there's any risk of family disagreement — blended families, sibling tensions, business interests, or where the deceased left no will (intestacy). We deal with everyone on the same professional footing, document every decision, and produce a clear set of estate accounts at the end so no one feels short-changed.

Most full administrations complete within 9–14 months, in line with HMCTS and HMRC processing times. Extra costs disclosed upfront: HMCTS probate registry fee (£300), grant copies (£1.50 each), statutory creditor notices (around £200), and any Land Registry or asset-transfer fees.
